Star Wars: Galactic Racer Launch Date Possibly Revealed on Steam

The highly awaited arcade racing title, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, which features an array of speedy vehicles such as podracers, speeder bikes, and landspeeders from the beloved Star Wars franchise, seems set to debut on October 6. This information surfaced on Steam but was taken down shortly after, although not before users like Wario64 managed to capture it. Wario64 shared the news, stating, "STAR WARS: Galactic Racer will release on Oct 6, 2026 according to Steam. Deluxe Edition contents revealed (Steelbook included with physical purchase)." However, when checking the Galactic Racer page on Steam an hour later, it had reverted to a vague "2026" release date. Originally unveiled at the 2025 Game Awards, Galactic Racer is being developed by Fuse Games, a studio founded in 2023 that includes several ex-developers from the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises. The game was most recently showcased during Sony's State of Play event in February. Even if the October 6 launch date is subject to change, fans of the franchise have plenty to anticipate, as new Star Wars content is on the horizon, including The Mandalorian and Grogu, which are set to premiere in theaters next month. The final trailer for this release was unveiled earlier this week.
