Invincible VS DLC Character Leaks Hint at Fan Favorites and Spider-Man Connection with J.K. Simmons

Recent leaks suggest the DLC roster for Invincible VS may include popular characters and a surprising reference to Spider-Man.

Recent leaks have surfaced regarding the downloadable content (DLC) roster for Invincible VS, hinting at the addition of beloved characters along with an unexpected nod to Spider-Man. Since the release of the fighting game Invincible VS on April 30, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, players have been eager to explore its features. While many are enjoying the gameplay, others have taken to examining the game files to uncover potential future content. Such leaks are common in the gaming community, and the details emerging from Invincible VS suggest intriguing developments from developer Quarter Up. A post by X/Twitter user @multiversusie has revealed files that seem to detail characters not yet available in the game. Among those mentioned are the confirmed Immortal and Universa, alongside other names like the Mauler Twins, Damien Darkblood, Oliver, Angstrom, Dinosaurus, and Volcanikka. The voice lines associated with these characters indicate that Quarter Up may have plans to integrate these newcomers into the game, along with unique interactions with existing characters. Notably, Agent Spider has been teased, whose character interactions can be heard around the 1:30 mark in the posted content. Agent Spider is a version of Spider-Man from the Prime Video series Invincible, introduced in Season 2 as a distinct character reminiscent of the iconic Marvel hero, who has previously crossed over into comic book territory. The dialogue between Mark Grayson and Agent Spider is charming, but the exchanges involving Omni-Man add a layer of humor and reference to Spider-Man lore. Notably, J.K. Simmons, who reprises his role as Mark’s father in the game, is famously known for his portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson in several Spider-Man films. In a humorous twist, Omni-Man’s line, "You're a criminal, a vigilante, a public menace – what are you doing in my universe?" echoes the sentiments typically expressed by J. Jonah Jameson when discussing Spider-Man, particularly the term "public menace." While the accuracy of these leaks remains to be seen, they certainly suggest that Quarter Up is creatively utilizing Simmons’ involvement in Invincible VS. Alongside the character interaction revelations, further evidence pointing to additional DLC characters has emerged, including character models shared by @astragalu3 and gameplay footage of what appears to be a near-complete version of Angstrom. Invincible VS was released last week on various platforms. In a review, it received a score of 7/10, highlighting its "hard-hitting and fast-paced 3v3 tag fighting" as a refreshing experience, especially for fans nostalgic for the combo system reminiscent of Killer Instinct.
