Sales Milestone Achieved for Mouse: P.I. For Hire
The charming first-person shooter inspired by 1930s cartoons has surpassed 730,000 sales since its April launch.
Since its debut in April, Mouse: P.I. For Hire, a captivating first-person shooter styled like a 1930s cartoon, has achieved over 730,000 sales. PlaySide, the game's publisher, announced this achievement during a financial briefing with investors, noting that the costs associated with publishing and marketing have now been covered. This means that any future revenue generated from the game's robust sales will contribute to PlaySide's fiscal year 2026 earnings, which are now projected to be between $36 million and $38 million, an increase from the previous estimate of $34.7 million. The publisher attributed this positive adjustment to higher-than-anticipated unit sales and an effective conversion rate from wishlists for Mouse: P.I. For Hire across both PC and console platforms. This success has been notable even with the title's delayed launch and the lack of significant external project successes so far this year. Additionally, PlaySide shared that sales on consoles now account for 50% of total units sold, highlighting the game's strong presence on console storefronts. Developed by Fumi Games, Mouse: P.I. For Hire invites players to step into the shoes of private investigator Jack Pepper as he embarks on a thrilling, jazz-infused journey filled with action. The game seamlessly blends the appeal of hand-drawn animation reminiscent of classic 1930s cartoons with the excitement of a high-energy shooter. Currently, it boasts a 'Very Positive' rating from users on Steam.
