Pokémon TCG: 30th Anniversary Booster Packs Return, But Where Can You Find the Best Price?

Amazon has restocked its inventory of Pokémon TCG's 30th Anniversary Booster Bundles, which are currently priced at $99. However, is this the best price available? Unfortunately, it's not. This price significantly exceeds the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) and is much higher than the $45 Amazon was offering in September. While TCGplayer's listings are still above MSRP, they have seen a notable decrease in price over the past few weeks. The market value for the 30th Anniversary boosters has plummeted by 35.43% in the last month. At the end of September, these bundles were selling for approximately $120, but they can now be found new and sealed for around $74 on the resale market. Although this is not as favorable as the $45 price point on Amazon last month, it certainly beats the current $99 listing. It’s likely that Amazon will reduce its price further in the coming days to clear out the new stock, as the retailer typically aims to align prices with market trends. At the $99 price tag, each pack costs about $16.50 (for a total of six packs). In contrast, purchasing at $74 lowers the cost to approximately $12.33 per pack. While this isn't ideal, it's a more reasonable option compared to what Amazon is currently charging. Trainers might consider waiting to see if prices drop even further, as paying over $70 for six booster packs is unlikely to be appealing. The 30th Anniversary set has proven to be quite elusive since preorders opened. Although the set is now widely available, the search for booster packs continues unabated. As expected, the secondary market for this new set is in complete disarray. Lines at retail locations have been stretching out the doors, reminiscent of a busy cycling lane. To help you navigate the current landscape, we've gathered the median market prices from TCGplayer for the top 10 highest-value cards in the set. This will assist you in identifying what to watch for when opening packs. Good luck with your searches!
