Death Stranding 2's PC Launch Brings Exciting Updates for PS5 Users, Including Live-Action Cutscenes and Increased Difficulty
Hideo Kojima announces new features for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, enhancing gameplay for both PC and PS5 players with a harder difficulty mode and more.
Hideo Kojima has announced that a variety of new features will be introduced for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach later this week. Players can look forward to an increased difficulty setting, the ability to replay boss fights, and new live-action cutscenes that were previously excluded from the PS5 version. The anticipated PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set to launch on March 19, just shy of a year after its initial release on PS5. While Kojima hinted at forthcoming content for all platforms, details on what to expect have only recently been disclosed. In an interview with Spacewalk, a Japanese radio program, and shared by Okami13 on social media, it was revealed that the upcoming update will feature a new challenging mode titled To The Wilder, along with the option for players to revisit boss encounters, including the character Neil. Additionally, players can anticipate new items and live-action cutscenes. The update will also introduce a 21:9 ultrawide mode available for both PS5 and PC, as well as various gameplay enhancements based on community feedback. New nightmares for Sam and a new Chiral Cat to decorate his room are also part of the package. The PC version will provide options for an uncapped framerate and support for ultrawide monitors, including a 32:9 Super UltraWidescreen mode, all in stunning 4K resolution. While a specific release time for the update has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be available around the same time as the PC launch. In our review of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, we praised it as a remarkable sequel that successfully builds upon its predecessor, earning a commendable rating of 9 out of 10.
